Service Day to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, Jan. 19, 2009

To commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, Fort Hays State University’s Tigers in Service, the Black Student Union and the Office of Diversity Affairs will host a day of service in the Hays community on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009.

The theme for the service day will be “Giving Something Back.”

The first 30 individuals who sign up by Monday, Dec. 15 at the Center for Student Involvement (located in the lower level of the Memorial Union) will receive a free T-shirt and a free lunch on the service day.
