Halloween programs set at Sternberg Museum

Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History will offer three sessions of a Halloween program, "Spooky, Kreepy, Ooky, Kooky Kritters," at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the museum lobby.

Youngsters aged 4 to 11 years old can see spiders, snakes, owls, bugs, bats, rats and more.

A witch's brew of “blood, bones, eyes and other varieties of animal parts” will be available for sampling, said Brian Bartels, museum educator, without specifying further on the contents of the brew. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The program is free, but donations will be appreciated, he said.
