The math department at Fort Hays State University has scheduled the annual math relays for Thursday, Nov. 13. in the Black and Gold room and the Ballroom in the Memorial Union. The math department is celebrating its 30th year in holding the relays.
High school students in grades 9-12 from all over Western Kansas will compete. The day will consist of tests in trigonometry, algebra, geometry, applications, number sense, and calculating with a calculator.
Students are able to win individual awards as well as school awards for their achievement in the competition.
