Dr. Joseph Perniciaro instructor of voice and director of opera at Fort Hays State University performed in a Kansas Concert Opera on Oct. 3. He played the role of Beppe in the Opera "I Pagliacci" at the Bell Cultural Events Center in Olathe.  

Perniciaro graduated cum laude from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and received a Master of Music in vocal performance and was an honors graduate at the University of Houston. In 2007, he received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
