Events of Space Week 2008 to be celebrated at FHSU

Space Week at Fort Hays State University, sponsored by the FHSU Science and Mathematics Education Institute, will take place this week.
 
Events will include presentations, discussions, sky observations and a rocket launch.

A movie night are scheduled for Wednesday Oct. 9 at Cody Commons in Memorial Union. "Apollo 13" will be shown. A presentation and observation night will be in Tomanek Hall, room 106, on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

A science cafe will be held at 7 p.m. at Semolino's Cafe on Wednesday, Oct. 8. A presentation on the Apollo 1 Mission is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Robbins Center from 7 to 8 p.m.

A city-wide rocket launch will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11. Location to be announced.

Students, staff and members of the community may attend this event. The cost of the event is free.
