Students, faculty present at 2008 American Psychological Association Convention

Fort Hays State University faculty and graduate students recently presented research findings at the annual American Psychological Association Convention in Boston, Mass.

Dr. Carrie Nassif, assistant professor of psychology, and Melissa Barb, a 2008 graduate of FHSU's masters program in clinical psychology, co-wrote the study "Integrating Touch and Bodywork in Psychotherapy."

Dr. Heath Marrs, interim chair of the Department of Psychology, and Derek Eccles, a 2006 graduate of FHSU's education specialist program in school psychology, co-wrote the study "Assessment of Limited-English Proficient Students in a Rural Midwestern State."

Marrs and Dr. Stephen Benton, senior research officer for the IDEA Center, Manhattan, Kan., co-wrote the study "Male Academic Performance in College: The Role of Study Skills."
