FHSU student to tell story of her 7 weeks in China

Lydia Rinke, a Grand Island, Neb., senior at Fort Hays State University, will talk about her summer in China during a presentation at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in Tomanek Hall, room 106. Rinke is a double major in geology and psychology.

She spent seven weeks in Northern China teaching English. In the presentation, Rinke will discuss her experience and her observations of the country, food, culture and life of the students and describe the country pre-Olympics.

Rinke's presentation is part of the Travelogue Series of the Department of Geosciences at FHSU. During the academic year, at least one is scheduled each month. The next is scheduled for Oct. 6. The topic is yet to be announced.
