Fort Hays State University’s Small Business Development Center will offer instruction in QuickBooks this fall in Colby, Great Bend and Hays. This is an introductory course conducted over a three week period that will teach the basics of record keeping using QuickBooks software while providing a user friendly way to handle business finances.
The Hays QuickBooks course is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 and 14 in McCartney Hall, room 116, on the FHSU campus.
The Great Bend QuickBooks course is from 6:30 to 9:30 on Oct. 2, 9 and 16 in the Technical Building, room 111, on the Barton County Community College campus.
The Colby QuickBooks course is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, Nov. 4 and 11 in the Bedker Memorial Complex, room 706, on the Colby Community College campus.
The topics covered in session one are the Basics of Record Keeping, Getting Started with QuickBooks and Working with Lists. Session two will cover Setting up Inventory, Invoices, Customizing/Designing Forms and Payment Processing. Session three will cover Payroll, Sales Tax and Creating Reports.
Registration for the workshop is $150. Payment must be received two weeks prior to the first date of each workshop. Late registration, $180, will be taken until one week prior to the first date of each workshop.
