Hays Symphony Guild to have 'An Evening of Pops'

The Hays Symphony Guild, along with the Department of Music at Fort Hays State University, will present "An Evening of Pops" benefit concert to raise money for music scholarships and support of the Hays Symphony Orchestra.

The concert is at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6 in Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center on the FHSU campus. The program will include patriotic themes, show tunes, waltzes, Dixieland band, barbershop singers, selections by the Hays Symphony, an audience sing-along and several solo performers.

Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, and free for children under 12. Tickets are available at Midwest Music, 807 Main St., Hays, at the Student Service Center in the Memorial Union and at the door the night of the concert.
