Sternberg Museum to present Frog-a-palooza 2008

The All-Star Kansas Frog and Toad Choir will join forces with Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History to host the second Frogapalooza from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in the Sternberg Museum Lobby. The first was on April 26.

"Every spring, the night erupts with a thunderous chorus of frog and toad calls. These critters might be small, but the songs they produce can be heard from far away on a clear night," said Brian Bartels, museum educator.

Children in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend the event for a meet-and-greet and a chance to sing along with some of nature's most famous musicians.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.

To register, contact Bartels at (785) 628-5502, or e-mail
