Dr. Pelgy Vaz, associate professor of sociology at Fort Hays State University, presented at the National Social Sciences Conference recently in Las Vegas.

The presentation, "Marginal Famers in India, A Socioeconomic Analysis," was an overview of the agricultural sector in India. It provided a sociological analysis of the plight of these marginalized farmers and discussed the high poverty and suicide rate among them.
