Fort Hays State University's Kansas Small Business Development Center will offer the General Industry Occupational Safety and Health Administration seminar in March. The seminar will be held in two sessions, the first from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, and the second from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History.
The OSHA seminar will apply to all businesses and address the everyday regulations that businesses are required to follow. The presentation will include an introduction to OSHA, walking and working surfaces, exit routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention and protection, electrical systems, personal protective equipment, hazard communications, introduction to industrial hygiene, ergonomics, fall protection and safety and health programs.
The presentation will be made by Ken Bieker from the Kansas Department of Labor.
The deadline for early registration, $65, is Feb. 26. Late registration is $100.
