Two new undergraduate research support programs available to FHSU students
12/06/2007

New undergraduate research support programs are available to Fort Hays State University undergraduate students. Due to the limited amount of funding available, each department may only submit two applications per semester.

FHSU students interested in faculty-mentored research can apply at www.fhsu.edu/gradschl/UGminigrant.shtml. Applicants must submit an application form, a project description of no more than one page and letters of recommendation from faculty advisors and department chairs by Feb. 15 for the spring semester.

This grant program is designed to support undergraduate students engaged in research and creative activities. Successful applicants will receive up to $250 for equipment and expendable supply expenses.

FHSU students interested in the conference travel program can apply at www.fhsu.edu/gradschlUGconferencetravel.shtml. Faculty mentors must submit an application form and a copy of the conference agenda or a letter from the conference organizers naming the student presenter.

Students will be required to submit a one-page report on the conference to the dean of the Graduate School. Successful applicants will receive up to $250 for reimbursement. The application deadline is Jan. 15 for the spring semester.
