Alumni Association announces first communications coordinator

The Fort Hays State University Alumni Association has named Cheryl Lang, Ellis, as its first ever communications coordinator.

The communications coordinator is a new position and will be responsible for the alumni Web site, FHSU Magazine, the monthly e-mail newsletter FHSU - Tiger Talk and other marketing efforts.

"We are pleased to welcome Cheryl to the alumni staff," said Debra Prideaux, FHSU executive director of alumni and governmental relations. "She brings a wealth of communication experience to the position, which will greatly enhance the overall success of the association."

Lang received a bachelor of arts degree in political science as well as a bachelor of arts in communications from FHSU in 1991. She brings with her a wide variety of work experience and knowledge as well as a working relationship with the area culture and residents of Hays.

FHSU has more than 41,000 alumni living throughout the United States and 64 foreign countries. Lang's position will enable her to unify those alumni and assist them in retaining contact with FHSU and alumni. Lang and her husband, Clyde, live on a farm southwest of Ellis.
