Family Weekend draws visitors to Hays

Families from across Kansas and around he country will be in Hays this weekend to enjoy the comedians, movies, bowling, tailgates, volleyball and football as part of the Fort Hays State University Family Weekend

This annual event was previously called Tiger Friends and Family Weekend.

FHSU campus activities will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, in the Cody Commons of the Memorial Union when the University Activities Board presents comedian Dwayne Perkins.

Activities include a double feature movie night, campus tours, visits with faculty, administration and residence hall personnel as Family Weekend continues into Saturday.  

Families are also invited to join the Hays community in the FHSU tailgate traditions before the football game against Southwest Baptist from noon until game time at 2.

After the football game, ticket stubs can be presented at Gross Memorial Coliseum to receive free admission to the FHSU versus Pittsburg State volleyball game. FHSU students can pick up two free general admission tickets in advance for this special weekend.
