Selection written by husband and wife for book about history
10/29/2007

Christiane Luehrs, instructor of English, and Dr. Robert Luehrs, teaching excellence coordinator, both at Fort Hays State University, have co-authored a chapter in, "The Detective as Historian: History and Art in Historical Crime Fiction." The selection the Luehrses have written is "Caroline Roe: Isaac the Outsider."

The husband and wife combination worked on the chapter together for about six months in the midst of teaching classes at FHSU. This selection is featured in the second volume.

"It was a lot of fun to write and it's a wonderful way to learn about history," said Christiane Luehrs. "It's a painless way for even non-historians to learn about history."
