Fort Hays State University's chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Nu Zeta, the nursing honorary society, will host a Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Association on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Gross Memorial Coliseum.

Memory Walk is the major fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association. This is its sixth consecutive year in Hays.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. The walk begins at 10:30 a.m. Participants should gather at Gate 3.

Participants may walk individually or in teams of five people. Teams can be organized ahead of time by visiting www.alz.org/memorywalk.

Groups collect money individually prior to the walk and then gather on Oct. 20 to combine the donations, walk the track and hand out prizes. Plaques are awarded to the team that raises the largest amount of money. Other prizes include door prizes and trophies for various accomplishments.
