FHSU Homecoming court chosen

Students at Fort Hays State University have chosen 10 of their peers to comprise the 2007 Homecoming royalty court.

King candidates:

Steven Haun, Wilson sophomore. Sponsored by TigerWild, Haun is involved in TigerWild, McMindes Hall Council, FHSU Shooting Team and is a part of the Residence Hall Association.

Devin Konkel, Harper sophomore. Sponsored by University Activities Board, Konkel is involved in University Activities Board, TigerWild, KFHS News and Radio Broadcast Council, McMindes Hall Judiciary Board, Aikido Club, Residential Hall Association and is a member of the McMindes Hall Council.

Curtis Kramer, Cimarron senior. Sponsored by VIP Ambassadors, Kramer is involved in VIP Ambassadors, Youthfriends, Tigers In Service, TigerWild, Weist Hall Judiciary Board, Holy Family Elementary After School Program, and is also a member of the National Honor Society of College Students and Who's Who Among College Students.

Brian Maple, Dodge City senior. Sponsored by Alpha Kappa Psi, Maple is vice president of Alpha Kappa Psi and is a member of the FHSU Accounting Club.
Craig Stramel, Hays senior. Sponsored by Tigers In Service, Stramel is involved in Tigers In Service, FHSU Student Government Association, SPURS Sophomore Honor Society, Mortar Board and is on the Dean's Honor Roll.

Queen candidates:

Kelsey Colglazier
, Larned sophomore. Sponsored by Tigers In Service, Colglazier is involved in FHSU Women's Chorale and VIP Ambassadors and is a Kansas Corps Representative as well as the director of Tigers In Service.

Celina Konrade, Spearville graduate student. Sponsored by the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, Konrade is involved with NSSLHA, Tigers In Service, University Activities Board, VIP Ambassadors, TigerWild, SPURS sophomore Honor Society, is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and is on the Dean's Honor Roll.

Shannon O'Shea, Blaine junior. Sponsored by TigerWild, O'Shea is involved in Tigers In Service, MatCats, Student Environmental Organization, University Activities Board and is the vice president of TigerWild.

Sarah Schumacher, Salina junior. Sponsored by the Custer Hall Council, Schumacher is involved in Custer Hall Council, FHSU Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Brass Choir, FHSU Tiger Pep Band, Hays Symphony Orchestra, Fort Hays Association of Nursing Students, SPURS, Catholic Disciples, FHSU Campus Crusade for Christ, and is a Custer Hall resident assistant, vice president of the Student Alumni Association, vice president of FHSU Nurses Christian Fellowship, secretary of Alpha Lambda Delta, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and on the Dean's Honor Roll.

Kelsey Simon, Clearwater junior. Sponsored by University Activities Board, Simon is involved in University Activities Board, VIP Student Ambassadors, Tigers In Service, TigerWild, HALO, Catholic Disciples, Youthfriends, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ellis County, Alpha Lambda Delta and is on the Dean's Honor Roll.

Finally voting to select the 2007 Homecoming king and queen will be from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3 and Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Memorial Union. Coronation will
be during halftime of the FHSU vs. Missouri Western football game on Saturday, Oct. 6. The game begins at 2 p.m. at Lewis Field Stadium.
