"Crunching the Numbers," a three-session workshop on business record keeping, will be presented by the Fort Hays State University Kansas Small Business Development Center in Colby, Great Bend and Hays during October.
Session 1 introduces Basics of Recordkeeping, how to use QuickBooks and how to work with lists.
Session 2 covers setting up inventory and invoice systems, how to design and customize forms, and how to process payments.
Session 3 explains how to record payroll and sales tax information and how to create reports.
Early registration is $150 per person. Late registration is $180. The early registration deadline for Colby and Hays is Sept. 24; for Great Bend, the deadline is Sept. 27.
The Colby workshop will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first three Tuesdays of the month, Oct. 2, Oct. 9 and Oct. 16, in Bedker Memorial Complex, room 706, at Colby Community College.
The Great Bend workshop will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first three Thursdays of October, Oct. 4, Oct. 11 and Oct. 18, in the Technical Building, room 111, at Barton County Community College.
The Hays workshop will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first three Mondays of October, Oct. 1, Oct. 8 and Oct. 15, in McCartney Hall, room 116, on the FHSU campus.
