Fort Hays State University to hold 2nd annual Northwest Kansas Golf Tournament

Meadowlake Golf Course in Colby, 1085 N. Country Club Drive, will host the second annual Northwest Kansas Golf Tournament on Friday, Aug. 24, sponsored by the Fort Hays State University Alumni Association.

The tournament is dedicated exclusively to raising scholarship funding for students from northwest Kansas to further their educational endeavors at FHSU. Tournament prizes will go to the top finishers in each category, to the longest drive on the fairway and to the closest shot to the hole.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. CST with time scheduled for 10 a.m. CST.

After the tournament, Tiger supporters and friends are invited to hear the latest happenings at Fort Hays State University from special guest Dr. Edward H. Hammond, president of FHSU. He will be joined at the 4 p.m. program by other university guests including Annette Wiles, women's basketball coach, Stacey Lang, assistant alumni director, and Tim Chapman, president and CEO of the FHSU Foundation, and Brad Botz, director of planned giving for the foundation.

The tournament registration fee of $65 includes lunch, greens fees, shared cart and special prize giveaways. Registration for the lunch only is $10.
