Tigers4Life, new student alumni membership excites campus

A new membership program for students is launching this year for the Fort Hays State University Alumni Association.

Tigers4Life (T4L), open to all FHSU students, is intended to help its members experience and create traditions, build Tiger pride, and connect with alumni members. The Student Alumni Association will coordinate the program.

T4L members will have the opportunity to connect with FHSU alumni from their respective majors or with individuals living in other cities or states. They will also be invited to member-only events that will give them the opportunity to interact with FHSU alumni at tailgate parties and dinners, and to polish career building and financial planning skills at workshops led by seasoned professionals at the new Robbins Alumni and Foundation Center.

For a $15 annual membership fee, members will receive a T4L goodie bag containing many incentives, including a collectible glass and T-shirt. Each member will also receive the FHSU magazine, the TigerTalk electronic newsletter and a set of return address labels.

Students will receive membership cards they can use at the University Bookstore, at the Tiger Book Shop and at Tigers Fort--at home sporting events or at www.fhsuathletics.com--to receive discounts on all purchases, excluding textbooks and sale items. T4L members who are spotted wearing T-shirts on "freebie Fridays" will receive free gifts from the T4L prize patrol.

Students can join the FHSU Student Alumni Association or T4L at the Back-to-School Picnic from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20 in the FHSU Quad. Members will be available to answer questions, accept membership and welcome students to campus. For more information, contact the FHSU Alumni Office at (785) 628-4430, e-mail alumni@fhsu.edu or visit the T4L Web site at www.fhsu.edu/alumni/t4l.
