Stacey Lang is the new assistant director of the Fort Hays State University Alumni Association. She will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of alumni activities, programs and services, as well as developing and fostering relationships with alumni and friends.
Lang will also serve as co-sponsor of the FHSU Student Alumni Association, a select organization dedicated exclusively to advancing alumni and admissions relations.
"I am delighted to welcome Stacey aboard," said Debra Prideaux, FHSU executive director of alumni and governmental relations. "Her experience in working in an educational setting and her familiarity with marketing and public relations equip her to make a significant contribution to the growth of the association. She will be a tremendous asset to the Tiger community."
Lang earned a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish from FHSU in 1995 and is currently working to complete her master of science degree in education administration. She has worked extensively in education and business. Lang served most recently as the director of admissions at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in Hays.
FHSU has more than 41,000 alumni living throughout the United States and 64 foreign countries. Lang is particularly qualified to assist international students and alumni; she is bilingual and has traveled throughout Asia, Mexico, Spain and France on educational tours. Although she is a world traveler, Lang feels a strong connection to FHSU and the Hays community. She lives in Hays with her husband, John, and two children, Elly and Lucas.
