Livestock Judging team attends NACTA conference

The Fort Hays State University livestock judging team recently attended the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture livestock and horse judging conference at Hutchinson Community College.

The team placed second in the overall livestock judging contest and third in the horse judging contest. Several individuals also received recognition. Drew Buettner, Kearney, Neb., senior, was high individual in sheep, third in swine, third in reasons and second overall. Blake Denton, West Point, Neb., senior, was second in reasons for both the livestock and the horse competition, and Justin Dallmann Upland, Neb., senior, was second in beef judging.

KANORADO: Aubrea Winter, junior.
McPHERSON: Chase Frank, senior.
MORROWVILLE: Justin Lehman, junior.
ONAGA: Alex Miller, senior.
YORK, Neb.: Mark Quiring, senior.
