FHSU shows holiday wonders for the Christmas season

The National Science Teachers Association at Fort Hays State University invites students, faculty, staff and the public to take a break during the holiday season and watch as the wonders of Christmas are explained through a scientific demonstration from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in the front lobby of the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, 3000 Sternberg Drive.

At the NSTA's fourth annual Christmas program, guests will learn how Santa goes down chimneys, how reindeer fly and other seasonal wonders through the science behind the book "A Creature was Stirring."

This is the first year the NSTA's Christmas program has been at the Sternberg Museum. "We are excited about having the Christmas program at the Sternberg," said Cami Liggett, museum educator. "It's a wonderful performance."

This event is sponsored by the FHSU student chapter of the NSTA, the Anschutz Professor of Education and the Sternberg Museum.
