Fort Hays State University's Small Business Development Center has instituted a $35 fee to attend the remaining sessions of its Business Plan & Start-up Group Discussions scheduled for Colby, Great Bend and Hays.
The discussions, which were previously free, provide an overview of what it takes to start a business in Kansas and provide some essential details on the mechanics of writing a business plan, preparing a cash flow projection and other issues important to a new business.
The fee and pre-registration requirements begin with the Aug. 31 session at the Hays SBDC office, scheduled for 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Remaining sessions are as follows:
Colby: Sessions are on Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 350 S. Range. Dates remaining are Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9.
Great Bend: Sessions are on Fridays from 1-4 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 1307 Williams St. Dates remaining are Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8.
Hays: Sessions are on Wednesdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the SBDC office, 109 W. 10th St. Dates remaining are Aug. 31, Sept. 7 and 21, Oct. 5 and 19, Nov. 2 and 19, and Dec. 7 and 21. |
