Get into the holiday spirit with music and dessert

Construction on the Memorial Union at Fort Hays State University has forced cancellation of the Madrigal Feast this December.

However the entire family can still enjoy the festivities of the season with the Holiday Dessert Show, "The Reluctant Dragon," performed by the Fort Hays Singers.

"This is just a short pause, the Madrigal Feast will be back and better than ever in our newly renovated union December 2007," said Bill Smriga, director of Memorial Union.

The Dessert Show will be from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 at the Fox Pavilion, downtown Hays. Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Dec. 1, and 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. The cost of the show is $10, which includes cheesecake for dessert. Proceeds will help to defray the cost for each student of the Taiwan Concert Tour in May.

For information on the Dessert Show or to purchase tickets, contact Terry Crull, instructor of music at (785) 628-4258 or by e-mail at Unreserved, balcony seats may also be purchased at the FHSU student Service Center in the Memorial Union.
