FHSU teacher education faculty to visit GCCC

Fort Hays State University Teacher Education faculty will be at Garden City Community College from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Student Service building.

"Program information will be provided to community members and current education majors interested in undergraduate course work leading to an elementary or secondary education degree," said Dr. Germaine Taggart, interim chair, Department of Teacher Education. Possible emphasis areas include middle school teaching, special education and early childhood.

Current educators interested in graduate work may find information on master's level course work with emphasis areas that include: English as a second language, reading, special education, school improvement, library media specialist and middle-level teaching.

Those interested in alternative licensure routes may find information regarding the Transition to Teaching program offered by FHSU.
