FHSU's Science Talk Series to discuss Pluto

Pluto will be the first topic in Fort Hays State University's Science Talk Series, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in Tomanek Hall, room 106, on the FHSU campus. Dr. Ken Trantham, associate professor of physics, will be the presenter.

"Sponsored by the FHSU Science and Mathematics Education Center and the Anschutz Professor of Education, the Science Talk Series is intended to inform and to provide an opportunity for the community to learn about hot topics concerning math and science in the news and happenings around the world," said Dr. Paul Adams, Anschutz Professor of Education and professor of physics.

Refreshments will follow the presentation at the Plymouth Schoolhouse and then deep sky observation at the observation deck of Tomanek Hall will be opened to the public with the help of the Astronomy Club.

The event is free and open to the public.
