An introductory, three-part workshop on the basics of record keeping will be offered by Fort Hays State University's Small Business Development Center on three Mondays in November in Hays.
The workshop is taught in three sessions using Quickbooks software. Each session is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at FHSU's McCartney Hall, room 103.
Session one, on Nov. 6, covers the Basics of Recordkeeping, Getting Started with Quickbooks and Working with Lists. Session two, on Nov. 13, covers How to Set up Inventory, Invoicing, Customizing/Designing Forms and Payment Processing. Session three, on Nov. 20, covers Payroll, Sales Tax and Creating Reports.
The sessions are taught by Sheryl Davis, a certified public accountant and assistant director of FHSU's SBDC. The three-part workshop is also being presented in Colby and Great Bend during November.
Registration is $150 until Nov. 1. Late registration is $180.
