Students learn leadership through teamwork

Several area students participated in the fourth annual Fort Hays State University Leadership Education and Development, LEADOFF Retreat, held at Camp Aldridge near Great Bend on Oct. 6 and 7.

LEADOFF is sponsored by SGA, LEAD, Center of Civic Leadership and the Center for Student Involvement. LEADOFF was free for all FHSU students.

Over the weekend, students learned leadership concepts such as team building, collaboration, organizational participation and problem solving in a hands-on environment. Students learn through workshops, speakers and an adventure ropes course.
