Starting a business is always a difficult process, and to help make it easier, the Fort Hays State University Small Business Development Center is continuing a series of discussions in Colby, Great Bend and Hays.
The free discussions provide an overview of what it takes to start a business in Kansas and provide some essential details on the mechanics of writing a business plan, preparing a cash flow projection and other issues important to a new business.
The sessions in September will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, in Colby at the Chamber of Commerce, 350 S. Range; from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 in Great Bend at the Chamber of Commerce, 1307 Williams St.; and from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on two Wednesdays in Hays, Sept. 7 and Sept. 21, at the SBDC office, 109 W. 10th St.
The discussions are free, but participants must sign up in advance because of limited space. To sign up for a start-up session, e-mail sbdc@fhsu.edu or call at (785) 628-6786.
