The Hays Arts Council, along with the Fort Hays State University Fringe Theatre Company, is performing "Vanities" at 8 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 21 and at 2 pm. on Oct 22.
The production is a benefit for the arts council and Fringe Theatre. The play will be performed at FHSU's Felten-Start Theatre in Malloy Hall on the FHSU campus.
"Vanities" is a comedy about the growth of a friendship among three small town women coming of age in the 1960s and 1970s. This production stars Julie Brull, Andrea Crees and Michelle Rader. All three are graduates of FHSU. Brenda Meder, director of the Hays Arts Council, directs.
"This is a really timeless play with a nostalgic quality," said Meder. "It is funny and witty and has a biting edge to it."
Tickets, $5 for FHSU students and $7 for the public, are available at the Hays Arts Council, 112 E. 11th, beginning Oct. 9, or at Malloy Hall before each performance.
