Zellner to address diversity on campus

Minority students have a new friend on the Fort Hays State University, Alan Zellner, who is the new Coordinator of Diversity Affairs.

Zellner received a bachelor of science in business education from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where he also received his master of science in educational leadership with Principal Certification.

He was previously employed at Wilkes University as the director of diversity. He also held the positions of recruiting coordinator, head wrestling coach, coordinator of minority affairs and advisor to the Black Student Coalition. Prior to Wilkes, he was at Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pa.

Zellner's position is under the office of Student Affairs and includes working with minority students and addressing diversity issues on campus. He will develop and implement strategies to help FHSU market to and recruit minority students, and help those students through their years at FHSU.

His office is located in the Center for Student Involvement, lower lever, Memorial Union.
