Golf and lunch are on order for alumni and friends of Fort Hays State University on Friday, Sept. 8, at the Sugar Hills Golf Club in Goodland.
The Northwest Kansas Tiger Golf Tournament and Luncheon, an event sponsored by the Fort Hays State University Alumni Association, will begin with registration at 8 a.m. Mountain time. Tee-off is scheduled for 9 a.m.
The tournament and social are dedicated exclusively to raising scholarship funds so that students from northwest Kansas can attend FHSU.
After the tournament, Tiger supporters and friends, whether golfers or not, are invited to enjoy a luncheon at 1 p.m. to hear the latest and greatest news of FHSU from representatives from the Alumni Association, the Athletic Department and the Endowment Association. Special guests will include Dr. Edward Hammond, FHSU president.
The tournament registration fee of $75 includes greens fees, shared cart (if applicable), entry gift, special prize giveaways and lunch. Registration for the luncheon only is $10. McCants is a 1971 FHSU graduate and is on the Endowment Association Board of Trustees.
