Forsyth Library launches new Web log
08/10/2006

Fort Hays State University's Forsyth Library recently created an informational Web log, or blog, for FHSU students.

The Forsyth Library's blog was launched in June and is "set up to provide people with a look at events that are happening in the library while giving information about the history of the library, buildings and other upcoming events," said Patty Nicholas, special collections librarian and head of the blog.

Information including campus events, displays, library hours, library policies and library happenings are available.

Although the blog is not for research purposes, it can be accessed through the library's Web site by clicking on the link "Forsyth Library Posts" or by going to http://www.fhsu.edu/forsyth_lib/flblog/.

Students, faculty and the community with an interest in the library can access the Web site and post messages. Nicholas will serve as blog monitor.

"It's there for the FHSU community and we hope that it will provide information that people need about the library," said Nicholas.
