FHSU's Central Kansas Alumni Club to hold annual gathering

Members of Fort Hays State University's Central Kansas Alumni Club will host their annual gathering of alumni and friends at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Ellinwood American Legion Club, 117 E. Santa Fe Blvd.

The event begins with a social at 6:30 p.m. and a 7 p.m. dinner. Dr. John Heinrichs, associate professor and chair of the Department of Geosciences at FHSU, will discuss technology, including satellite imagery, computer mapping and global positioning systems and how they help us understand our world.

Debra Prideaux, executive director of the Alumni Association, and Ruth Heffel, Endowment Association director of planned giving, will make a presentation on the construction of the new W.R. and Yvonne Robbins Alumni & Endowment Center.
