Faculty attend conference in Denver

Fort Hays State University's Dr. Jim Rucker, professor and chair of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems; Dr. Jean Anna Sellers, professor of accounting and information systems; and Sandra Rupp, assistant professor of accounting and information systems, recently attended the Mountain-Plains Business Education Association Conference in Denver.

Rucker presented "Business Courses Should Teach Soft Skills," and Sellers co-presented with Judy Diffley of Washburn University, "A Cooperative Writing Project."
As part of the conference, Eric Park, an FHSU junior, Oxford, NE, was selected by the Leadership Development Institute from the Mountain-Plains region for Rucker's group presentation, "Business Etiquette."

Rucker was previously elected to serve as the president-elect for the 2006-2007 year for the National Business Education Association. He will serve as the president of the organization for the 2007-2008 year.
