Dr. Hong Wang, assistant director of the Virtual College and coordinator for the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technology at Fort Hays State University, recently attended a world conference on educational media, hypermedia and telecommunications in Orlando, Fla.

Wang made two presentations. A poster presentation titled "Pushing the Boundary: Building a Community of Inquiry and Practice" was co-authored with Martin Kollman, technology support specialist; Andy Tincknell, video production specialist, Jared Schiel, graphics and animation developer; Mitch Weber, digital image specialist; and Eva Gould, media services specialist.

In conference proceedings, Wang presented a paper titled "Creating an Online Helpdesk: Support Teaching and Learning," which was co-authored with Justin Greenleaf, e-Leadership coordinator in the Department of Leadership Studies.
