Kelly Center to open graduate, licensure testing center
06/01/2006

Fort Hays State University's Kelly Center has formed a partnership with Thomson Prometric to provide FHSU students, Hays residents and western Kansas communities a computer-based testing center for graduate school admissions, professional licensure and certification in the academic, government, corporate and information technology fields.

Until now, anyone interested in receiving their certifications and licensures had to travel to Wichita, Topeka, Grand Island, NE, Kansas City or Denver.

"We are very pleased to team with Thomson Prometric in the new testing center," said Kenton Olliff, director of the Kelly Center, "The center will certainly benefit our students, and also, because of the tests offered, many of the citizens of western Kansas will benefit as well."

The IT testing will allow interested parties to pursue certifications with companies like Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, Apple and Nortel.

"Thomson Prometric prides itself in our extensive network of test centers," said Paige Vesuvio, vice president of Global Marketing, Thomson Prometric." We are pleased to be able to offer testing opportunities to the community at Fort Hays State University and throughout western Kansas."
