FHSU Psychology Department announces 2004-2005 scholarship recipients

Fort Hays State University's Department of Psychology recently announced the names of 12 psychology majors who received scholarships to attend FHSU for the 2004-2005 academic year.

Jessica Linenberger, Hays graduate student, Jeannine Bergsma, Hays graduate student, and Andrea Ring, Salina graduate student, were awarded James E. Ryabik Graduate Psychology Scholarships.

To receive Ryabik Scholarships, students must be continuing graduate students at FHSU majoring in psychology with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. They must also be active in activities related to psychology at FHSU.

The Homer B. Reed Scholarship is also awarded to FHSU psychology majors. To receive this scholarship, students must be continuing undergraduate psychology majors with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 who are also active in psychology related activities at FHSU.

Students who received Reed Scholarships are listed below by hometown and classification.

Bison: Jessica Brack, senior.
Ellis: Marleah Kinderknecht, junior, and Kris Fox, freshman.
Hays: Jenny Wilkerson, senior; Donna Fay, senior; and Mike Manteuffel, senior.
Lenexa: Amy Poduska, senior.
Ness City: John T. Booze, senior.
Russell: Kathy Wallert, senior.
