Fort Hays State University's Physics Department recently announced the names of six physics majors who received scholarships to attend FHSU for the 2004-2005 academic year.

Roger Bach, Jetmore senior, Tanner Marshall, Great Bend freshman, and Christopher Rome, Ellinwood freshman, all received NASA/KSGC Scholarships. To receive this scholarship a student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and be a full-time physics or pre-engineering student at FHSU.

Jason Kennedy, Pratt senior, received the Dr. Maurice Witten Scholarship. Students must be planning on becoming a physical science teacher and have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 to receive this scholarship.

The Harvey A. Zinszer Physics Scholarship went to Michael Carlson, Hays sophomore.

Tara White, Lewis senior, received the Paul and Virginia Miller Fund Award.
