Hosted by Fort Hays State University's Communication Club, the sixth annual "Pork in the Park," scheduled for Friday, May 7, will feature the traditional roasted pig accompanied by a full meal and drink, a live concert from the Cruel Shoes and games and activities.
The event takes place in Hays Frontier Park at the corner of First and Main Streets. Dinner, along with special games and activities, will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m.
"We feel like we've perfected 'Pork in the Park' this year with five years of experience under our belt,? said Communication Club President J.J. Wright, Oakley senior.
"For the second straight year, 'Pork in the Park' is hosting live music. Before that, we had a deejay provide the entertainment but the band provides an added dimension that you can't find anywhere else."
