The Fort Hays State University chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society for freshmen, has announced its initiates for the 2004-2005 school year. The students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or above to be selected.
Founded in the spring of 1924 at the University of Illinois, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first-year students. Today, Alpha Lambda Delta more than 230 chapters throughout the nation and offers almost $100,000 in scholarships to its members.
