Small Business Development Center to host business workshops
11/29/2004

Starting a business is an important process, with many decisions and duties. To help make the process easier, the Fort Hays State University Small Business Development Center will offer a free overview of what it takes to start a business in Kansas at three December sessions.

The SBDC will offer anyone a chance to learn the mechanics of writing a business plan, preparing a cash-flow projection and other issues important to a new business.

In Hays, the workshop will run from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Dec. 8 at the SBDC Office at 109 W. 10th St.

Great Bend will host the session from 1-4 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the Chamber of Commerce, 1307 Williams St.

Colby will host the session from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Dec. 10 at the Chamber of Commerce, 350 S. Range.

The workshops are free and open to the public but space is limited. Anyone interested in participating in the free discussions must call the SBDC office at (785) 628-6786 to sign up.
