FHSU Agronomy Club travels to Seattle

Fort Hays State University's Agronomy Club sent four of its members to the 2004 international meetings with the Canadian Society of Soil Science in Seattle from Oct. 30-Nov.2.

On the U.S. side, the meetings are sponsored by the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and the Soil Science Society of America.

The annual meetings allow undergraduates to tour local agriculture and participate in activities such as research, speech, and quiz bowl. FHSU Agronomy Club members participated in the quiz bowl, leadership meetings, and other activities.

Attending the meetings were: Cole Carpenter, Leoti senior; Jody Gienger, St. Francis senior; Brian Mapel, Dodge City junior; Marc Stickney, Chase senior; and Dr. Robert Stephenson, associate professor of agriculture.
