Japanese Spice adds flavor for cultural palates

Fort Hays State University students and community residents will be given a little taste of Japan's food and cultural history from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 19, during the Japanese International Spice.

The spice, held in McMindes Hall's West Lounge, is hosted by the FHSU International Student Union.

Participants will savor authentic Japanese food while watching the FHSU Japanese students perform a traditional fishermen's dance. A presentation about the country will also be given during the evening.

The event is free and is open to the public.

International Spice is an annual event that features a different country represented within the FHSU international student population.

Japanese International Spice is sponsored by the Office of International Student Services, the International Student Union and the Japanese Student Union. Financial contributions were donated by Wal-Mart.
