California women establishes FHSU scholarship in memory of her parents

The Frank and Wilma Craft Scholarship Fund has been established with the Fort Hays State University Endowment Association. Elaine Browning, Poway, CA, established the fund in memory of her parents.

Preference for the awards will be given to juniors or seniors majoring in technology studies with an emphasis in woodworking, drafting, or construction; or to history majors with an emphasis in education. Recipients should have a minimum 3.5 grade point average in their major field of study with a minimum 3.3 grade point average overall; demonstrate a financial need; and show promise of post-graduate work.

Frank Craft received his bachelor's degree in history from FHSU in 1933. Although his major was history, he taught industrial education for many years.
