Small business bookkeepers can learn the basics of record keeping using QuickBooks software in a three-part workshop beginning Tuesday, April 6.
The workshop, sponsored by the FHSU Small Business Development Center, is $150 per participant if registered by March 30. Late registration is $180.
All sessions run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will be in room 215 of McCartney Hall on the campus of Fort Hays State University.
The first session, April 6, will cover the basics of record keeping, getting started with QuickBooks and working with lists. Session 2, on April 13, will cover setting up inventory, invoicing, customizing and designing forms, and payment processing. Session 3, April 20, will cover payroll, sales tax and creating reports.
The instructor will be Sheryl Davis, CPA, assistant director of the FHSU SBDC.
