Fort Hays State University Interior design students traveled to Denver on Sept. 17 to view high-end, custom-built homes constructed by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Denver.
The homes, valued at between $1 million to $1.5 million, included innovative designs and cutting-edge technology. Charmion Arthur, instructor of art, said she wanted students to look at interior and detail design, specifically things like wall and window treatments.
" They were really amazed at the color tones and material selections. All the homes had Italian marble," said Arthur.
Students that traveled to Denver include Melissa Allison, Wichita sophomore; Faith Hewitt, Hays junior; John Johnson, Grinnell senior; Lindsey Pray, Hays senior; and Julia Schinstock, Hays senior. |
