09/29/2004

Music, food and dance are just a few of the things that you will find in the Fort Hays Ballroom on Oct. 14 when Fort Hays State University's international and minority organizations come together to host a Celebration of Diversity Reception.

" This will be an awesome event," said Ame Lambert-Aikhionbar, Agnew Hall director and multicultural program advisor, "It is an opportunity to visit the world without leaving Hays."

Members from the FHSU German Club, Black Student Union, Hispanic-American Leadership Organization, International Student Union, Chinese Student Association and Japanese Student Organization will be at the reception displaying information and artifacts from their country or culture.

The reception is free and open to the public and starts at 6 p.m. in the ballroom, in the Memorial Union on the FHSU campus. For more information on the Celebration of Diversity Reception contact Ame Lambert-Aikhionbar, at (785) 628-5558.
